When it comes to straightening that smile, there are several benefits to choosing Invisalign to get the job done over other traditional braces. Some feel metal braces can appear unattractive, as though it is filled with awkward chunks of unsightly metal. They are even more noticeable on an adult and can get food caught in them without the wearer even being aware of it.  Whereas Invisalign clear braces are barely noticeable and they look very much as though the person wearing them is not wearing braces at all. With that being said, they are decidedly more attractive than metal braces.

Invisalign clear braces can also be removed whenever necessary. Once your orthodontic specialist attaches metal braces to your teeth, the braces must remain in place until they are professionally removed. But Invisalign clear braces are removable whenever you feel especially when eating or drinking.

Invisalign clear braces reduce damage to teeth and gums unlike traditional metal braces would. Conventional braces contain wire and protruding bits of metal that can puncture and scratch the insides of one’s mouth and gums. Clear braces are smooth and comfortable and don’t include any sharp edges or protruding edges or bits at all. Conventional metal braces can affect demineralization and decaying teeth and use a great deal of force to straighten the teeth. That’s not the case with clear aligners. Overall, Invisalign reduces the damage normally caused by wearing braces, including gum disease and cavities.

Last but not least, Invisalign clear braces straighten teeth faster than conventional braces do. Someone who wears conventional metal braces might expect the treatment to take as long as 5 years. Invisalign only takes about one year, to a year and a half to fix your crooked teeth issue and straighten that beautiful smile out.
